I used a new image from MelJen, Birthday cup mouse! What a fun little image!! It's colored with copics, then I added lots of stickles!!! The sentiment is a birthday seal from Ann Vento also available from Whimsy!
Check out my blog for the rest of the details. And don't forget, there is a new MelJen release tomorrow, so be sure to stop by to see what new cuties are in the store!
Hope you're having a great week! Did you see the amazing tutorial Vicki posted this weekend using the Darling Daisies set to create a vintage tag? So fun, will definitely be trying that out! You can see the tutorial HERE!
I just have a quick post today to share some creations I've made using some of the new February release rubber stamps. There are 16 new stamps and 2 new dies!
First up is "Valerie's Spring Rain" and "Fancy Bench" illustrated by Crissy Armstrong and accented with a new "Postage Stamp" sentiment designed by Ann Vento! All of these stamps are available in the Whimsy Shop.
Next I have this very soft color palette creation using the new "Smell the Flowers" stamp from Crissy and another "Postage Stamp" sentiment from Ann.
And this last creation uses the new image "Star" from the KennyK collection at Whimsy!
Thanks so much for stopping by today. Hope you have a terrific Tuesday!
2. VersaMark, clear embossing powder and heat gun
3. a couple different colors of shimmer mist sprays, smooch, etc.
4. sponges and or tissues
5. choice of images, Copics or fav color media
I've used the following Copic marker colors for my flower :
Y11 - Pale Yellow
Y13 - Lemon Yellow
YR15 - Pumpkin Yellow
YG11 - Mignonette
YG63 - Pea Green
E31 - Brink beige
E25 - Caribe Cocoa
E57 - Light Walnut
C3 - Cool Grey (for outside edging) - see tutorial below for details
6. scissors, color catcher or something to protect work surface and clothing, black ink, embellishments
I've now taken a couple of other images from this Darling Daisies set and stamped them on the tag with my black Brilliance Ink Pad. (this ink pad is safe for use with Copic markers and will not smear.)
Also, as you see in the photo above, I've taken my C3 - Cool Grey Copic marker to go around the edges of my cut pieces so that you don't see the whites edges around the images after cutting...makes for a 'cleaner look'. You don't want to use a black color because it is much too brass/dark looking and will make your image look weird instead of natural looking.
I used the Stamped image Love In A Bucket by Crissy Armstrong available at Whimsy Stamps! I see myself using this image all year round!
I colored my image with my Copic Markers, My sentiment is also from Whimsy Stamps by Raindrop Echo Designs and these are the Love Letter Seals!
Thanks for peeking in and enjoy the weekend!!
I colored this image with Prisma Colored Pencils and Gamsol....I really do love to play with my pencils every now and again...I also created this lasso out of some Stampin Up Hemp Twine. I picked up these fun western 3-D stickers made by Reminisce with this image in mind :) I thought they would work perfect for this cutie!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today, Have a GREAT Thursday Everyone!!!
This is one of just one of the new releases called Darlin Daisies illustrated by the uber talented Crissy Armstrong and Postage Stamp set designed by the creative an talented Ann Vento!! Even more exciting is that there is a die to cut out the postage stamp set!! I created a gift set!!
The box I created using a tutorial created by Randi Thorsen which can be found here. Since I am from the USA, I am not use to measuring everything in the metric measurement system so I found it to be a challenge....but fun!!!! The daisy in the center heart window of the box is embossed in white on vellum. The dp used on the card is K&Co. Jullianne. The ribbon is May Arts Ivory and champagne silk. The box is embossed with a Sizzix floral die on Blushing Bride (SU). The dp is from DCWV.
My next creation uses not rubber but one of the awesome digis designed by the talented Melissa Jenkins (Meljen's)!!! It is called I love You This Much... The papers are a combo of dp from K&Co. Valentine papers. The middle heart is dry embossed although it is hard to see in the photo. The flower on the bottom is a felt flower with a flower button in the center.
Thanks for stopping by!! I hope you are in some way inspired by these creations!!
Have a great day!!
I hope you've already seen all the new Whimsy Stamps, aren't they absolutely amazing!?
And don't forget about our blog hop! If you haven't taken part, you still have time, go here to see the blog hop list!
Today I would like to share with you a card I made with some of the stamps from the new Darling Daisies set designed by Crissy Armstrong.
I just love the set, those daisies are really darling, aren't they? And all the sentiments are fabulous! I made this card in my, as I like to call it -"rustic style" and used colours which, I thought, would give a "nature, spring and fresh" feeling. At least I hope that's the impression you get when you look at the card. :)
I coloured the image with watercolour pencils.
You can read more about this card and see all my other Whimsy Stamps creations at my blog.
Thank you so much for stopping by today and have a wonderful weekend! :)
