Cupcake Treat

Hello! Linda with you for some inspiration today.

It's no secret that I love Sylvia Zet's sweet images. Honestly if I had the time I would colour every one of her stamps up as soon as they were released, but with work and other commitments sometimes I have to wait till I can get them on a card.

I adore this sweet image called Cupcake Treat, it's totally sweet and lots of fun and perfect for all sorts of cards.
Today I've made a card in my more usual softly shabby style, and kept the colouring pretty light.

Coloured in my usual distress ink markers, I've mostly stuck to neutrals and pinks, though the pink is fairly bright to give it a little lift.
You can find the colours used on my blog.

I used some Wink of Stella on the wings, which you can just about see in the pic below, but it's so much more sparkly in real life!

Thanks for dropping by,

Dolly December

Morning all, hope you’ve been loving all the gorgeous new stamps from the October release.  My card today features the super cute Dolly December.

I coloured her up with a combination of copic markers and pencils in non-traditional Christmas colours.  I love pink and grey together.

The sentiment is from the Holiday Ticket Sentiments set.

Nativity Critters

Howdy - MichelleO here today and loving the new Whimsy Stamps October Release! And for my first card I just had to color up Crissy Armstrongs "Nativity Critters" - Love her animals! And this one is really special!

I colored with my Copics -and then I added some Marvy Snow Marker to the bunny tail and the lamb. Love how it makes them look fluffy and soft. I matched up with Whimsy Stamps Paper pad "Christmas Cheer" Love the patterns in this pad for warm Christmas cards. I sewed the layers down and then found My Whimsy Shapeology Dies "Small Bow 3-D die"  and then the Sentimentable Holiday Die. I added dots of Viva Decor Pearl Pen in the corners.

You must run and see all the Whimsy October Release - HERE

2 Birthday Cards using the Big Balloon Celebration Stamps and Dies

Happy Friday friends. I'm happy to be up on the Whimsy blog today sharing a couple of cards using new products from the latest Whimsy Stamps release for today's cards.

For my first card, I started by die cutting two of the balloons from the brand new Big Balloon Celebrations die set out of some masking paper. I then used those as a stencil so I could blend in some inks. After my blending was done, I stamped the sentiment from the Big Balloon Celebrations stamp set onto my card panel and the balloon strings. I then took the card panel and ran it through my Big Shot with the largest of the Hand Stitched Nested Rectangle dies. I love that this die cuts an A2 size -- such a nice finishing detail.

I added some sparkling clear sequins and the card was finished.

For my second card today, I started by die cutting the balloons from the Big Balloon Celebrations die collection and then doing some ink blending. As I will sometimes do on an ink blended background, I gave the balloons a spritz of water to pick up some of the ink. I then stamped the sentiment from the coordinating stamp set. I also stamped the balloon strings and rounded the bottom corners.

Thanks for your visit today. I hope you've been inspired to take a look at your dies and perhaps use them in a way that they necessarily weren't intended like I did on the first card. Crafty hugs!

Make a Background With The Snow Flakes Dies

Good morning everyone!!! It's Ellen here with a colorful project featuring Whimsy Stamps items. First made a background with the "Snow Flakes" dies. Below you can see how I did that:

To make the background you first merge the ink from light to dark. After you blended all colors you sprinkle the paper with water drops. Than you die cut 2 times each size from the snow flakes and place it on your square. After that it's time to glue it down with some liquid glue.

The sentiment from the "Scripty Occasions" was embossed on a banner from the "Many Thanks" die set. Some twine and pretty glitter "Winter Wishes" enamel dot's made the card gorgeous.
Here you can see a close up:
