Day 24 of the Whimsy Stamps Countdown to Christmas

Hello and Merry Christmas!

Hope you are ready for this magical day. Enjoy this day with family and friends and share good vibes. Our design team is still active, during this time of the year and today I have a new card for you. Maybe you can get inspired to create winter cards, not only Christmas cards.

You can find beautiful winter stamps and papers over at Whimsy Stamps. For today's card, I used ''Candle Light'' rubber stamp, along with this gorgeous pattern paper ''Christmas Cheer''.

To add a little touch, I used ''Christmas cheer enamel dots'' and ''Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles Dies''.
That's it for today. If you like our creations, please check out this blog for more. Have a wonderful day!

Day 23 - Count down to Christmas

Howdy - MichelleO here today, Have you been enjoying the Count down to Christmas at Whimsy Stamps? Today is my turn again and it is Day 23. And this close to Christmas I thought it would be fun to remind you "Don't Peek" at those Christmas presents.

I colored with Copics (colors below) and of course I had to use lots of red and green. Green card stock base and red card stock for the mats and lots of papers from Graphic 45. For a little lace look I used the Whimsy Stamps Die "Double Scallop Doily". All the layers are sewn together and then the perfect sentiment "Don't Peek" that comes with the image!! Three red buttons to finish it off. Love the grin on this little elf's face!

Copic colors used -

Hope you have a very Merry Christmas!

Quick and Easy Last Minute Christmas Cards

Need quick and easy, last minute Christmas cards? Here are a couple of CAS cards.

The first card uses the Holly Vine Die from Whimsy Stamps.
I cut out the shape from the white card stock and used the negative on the card. I used the Hand Stitched Nest Rectangles from Whimsy Stamps for a simple border on the white cardstock. I backed it onto some red cardstock, added a sentiment from Whimsy Stamps Scripty Occasions clear stamp set and added a few enamel dots from Whimsy Stamps Christmas Cheer collection.

For my second card I cut out the 'snow hill' using the Pierced Border Trio dies from Whimsy Stamps. The sentiment was stamped onto the card using the In My Backyard clear stamp set from Whimsy Stamps. I used snowflake dies from Whimsy Stamps - Snowflake dies and Layered Snowflake Dies.

Hope this has given you some quick and easy ideas!

Thanks for looking!
Happy crafting :-)

Day 21 of the Countdown to Christmas Event

Hi friends -- welcome to Day 21 of our Countdown to Christmas event going on this entire month. Today, I am using the gorgeous Build a Poinsettia die along with some other products available from Whimsy Stamps.

I first started by taking a white piece of card stock and running it through my Big Shot multiple times using two of the dies from the Hand Stitched Borders. I love the detail and interest this gives the back panel.

I then went ahead and die cut a few of the poinsettia pieces. I embossed just some of the tips and edges with gold embossing powder. I then heat embossed the sentiment which comes from the In my Backyard stamp set with the same gold embossing powder onto some vellum.  I adhered the vellum to my card panel that has the stitching detail. I then added fun foam to the entire card panel to give some dimension. I then added my poinsettia die cuts and added some berries which were created using some Nuvo Drops.

Here's a close up of the products I used today from Whimsy Stamps.

Hugs!

Day 20 of Whimsy stamps Countdown to Christmas

Hello Whimsy friends its Bridget here with you fine
peeps today. How have you been enjoying the Christmas Countdown so far,
there have been so many beautiful and inspiring projects
from the talented team of ladies that I'm proud to
be apart of, they are all so incredibly talented.

Here are my DtT inspiration projects

I have made a card using Crissy Armstrong's adorable
Santa Glee digital stamp, The background papers are from
the Christmas Cheer DP pad  they are so perfect for Christmas.

I have also made a rosette from some scraps of 12x12 papers that

are from my crafty stash, i thought this was a great way to use the
Build a Poinsettia Die and the Doodled Doily Die i am going to attach some
ribbon to the back of the rosette and use it as a card hanger with some of
those tiny clothes pegs. I have also used the Christmas Cheer enamel dots.

Have a fabulous Holiday Season my friends.
Hugs Bridget xxx

Day 19 of Whimsy's Countdown to Christmas

Welcome Whimsy Friends to Day 19 of Whimsy's Countdown to Christmas! Only a few more days until Santa arrives :-) Are you ready yet and done with all your Christmas preparations? I actually am (woohoo) and I thought I would start making some Valentines cards.

Here's a CAS card I made using the Card Builder - Hearts of Love die set

The card measures 4.5 x 5.5 inches. The second layer is 0.5 inches smaller. I cut out the word Love from the second layer and used the negative. To make it really pop I  layered it on to a piece of red card stock. The red heart was cut out from the same red card stock. I then added some burlap string and attached the large heart with a small white cloth pin. I decided to also use the tiny heart. I drew a line using a black Copic multi liner pen adhering the tiny heart at the end of the line. This gives the effect as the tiny heart would just drop off the large heart.

Day 18–Countdown to Christmas so Light Me Up!

It’s day 18 of the Whimsy Stamps Countdown to Christmas and I’ml skating in by the seat of my pants with Christmas cards – still!

This is such a busy time for us all so having super cute images that are quick to colour makes my life just that little bit easier, and this super cute Penguin Light Me Up digi stamp from Whimsy Stamps is so one of those.  Whimsy Stamps have a whole bevy of digi products now in store, even delish papers such as these from the Jolly Holiday digi paper set that I’ve used on this fun card.
Even the sentiment is from a digital set – I really love digi sentiments as you’re not tied down to just one size, they can be manipulated in photo editing software or even Word (like I did here) to the exact size I need.  The set used is Merry and Bright digital sentiments.

Lights: G29, 21, 14; B01, 01, 00; R59, 35, 32, 30

I glued some snowflakes from the Elegant Snowflakes dies behind the top layer of paper after blinging them up with some stickles and finished off with some pom-pom trim, seam binding and flowers.  A quick and easy card that I absolutely loved making.

Day 17 of the Whimsy Stamps Countdown to Christmas

Eeeeps sweeties, I have another Christmas card for you. For this card I made a little snow scene with the "Led by Love" digital stamp, "Holiday Mini Sentiments" clear stamps and the "Bold Banners" dies.

I first made the background with distress ink with sprinkles of water and white/blue ink. The snowflakes on the background are made texture paste. After that I colored these two cute critters with my Copic markers. With a little glitter glue I finished the heart. At the end I cute out the flishtail banner and embossed a mini sentiment on it.

I hope you loved this little winter wonderland.

Day 15 Whimsy's Countdown to Christmas

Today for Day 15 of the Countdown to Christmas  I chose to use one of the Whimsy Digital Stamps "Star of Bethlehem" image by Crissy Armstrong... adore this image!

Ok... it has a donkey in it so I just had to love it. But is such a beautiful image! I colored with my Copics, then added Marvy Snow marker for those fluffy lambs, and stickles for the star. I printed out two fun wonderful digital papers. From the Distressed Polka Dot collection and the Jolly Holly collection. LOVE these digital papers! Instant pretty! Sewing down the layers, adding some yummy enamel dots and adding a sheer ribbon for embellishments. Then for the sentiment an older Whimsy die favorite "Merry Christmas"

Hope you got a smile from my inspiration and please continue the countdown with us all the way to Christmas!

Hi friends. Are you having a good week so far? I have a Christmas card to share with you today using some goodies from Clearly Whimsy Stamps. This is for the 25 days of Christmas event that's going on all month long here on the Whimsy blog.

I started by stamping one of the images from the Joyous Holiday stamp set onto my red card stock with Versamark ink. I then die cut the new Build a Poinsettia dies a few times and inked the edges in just a bit of gold pigment ink. I embossed the sentiment onto some vellum. I added the main panel up on foam tape over just a bit of gold sparkly card stock.

Here's a close-up of the products I used today from Clearly Whimsy Stamps.

Hello Whimsy Friends welcome to Day 13 of Whimsy's Christmas Festivities! I'm sharing a card today made with the Whimsy Stamps Holiday Sweet Treats die and clear sets from the October release as well as the Winter Afghan background stamp which has been released back in September.

In I also used the Christmas Cheer papers and one of the Stitched Border Trio dies.
The Winter Afghan background was embossed with gold embossing powder to give this CAS card some more depth and some bling.

Iris

Day 12 of Whimsy Countdown to Christmas

Welcome to Day 12 of the Whimsy Countdown to Christmas!

To make this card, I started by white embossing some snowflakes from Sparkle and Shine on some blending paper.  I then used distress inks and water splats on it.  I covered it with a spritz of calico shine for some shimmer.  I layered it on a card base with a strip of silver cardstock.  I added the "merry" (Brush Script alpha) and sentiment (Christmas Greetings) on some Sentiment Banners.  I cut two snowflakes (Snowflake dies) and added a button/twine treatment.

I hope you're enjoying this 25 days of inspiration!

Day 10 of Whimsy Stamps Countdown to Christmas

Hello Whimsy Friends and how are you all today?
Have you been enjoying our countdown to Christmas?
My DT pals have certainly made some pretty amazing &
inspiring projects thus far, they are very talented ladies.

Here are my Day 10 projects.
I have used the adorable Penguin Light Me Up digi stamp

along with the Merry & Bright digital sentiments
and the Hearts of Love card builder.
I tried to make him look like he was hanging from
a Garland, like he'd had one too many Port & Lemons.

For the Crackers i used my Brother Scan and Cut make

the cracker itself, then decorated them with the
Snowflakes Dies, they have a couple of Chocolates inside.
Thank you so much for taking the time to stop by
have a lovely weekend Whimsy friends.
Hugs Bridget xx

Day 9 of the Whimsy Stamps Countdown to Christmas

Hello everyone, it's Ellen here!! Did you see all the Christmas countdown posts already? Today I like to share how you can use a Christmas stamp in a totally different way.

If you cut out the wreath from the "Owls on a Wreath" stamp it looks like two love birds. The new card builder "Hearts Of Love" has perfect elements to go further in the love theme. I used the card base as well as the word 'love' from that set. The banner from "Many Thanks" card builder was perfect to put my sentiment on and a perfect place for my owls. The pink enamel dots from "Its A Party Enamel" are where also so much fun to use on this love card.

I hope you love this idea to stretch your stamps. Have a wonderful day!

Day 8 of Whimsy Stamps' Countdown to Christmas

Hello!

It's Linda here, swinging in on day 8 of our Countdown to Christmas. I hope you are enjoying all the fab makes my talented team mates have been sharing, and there's so much more to come.

Today it's my turn and I made a little card with the adorable Snow Family from the Lee Holland collection.  Apart from the plain white and coloured cardstock, and the large shaped die to cut the card shape, everything on my card today is from Whimsy Stamps, so I've made a little list with links at the end of the post.

I coloured this sweet little family up with my distress ink markers.

If you would like to know the colours just pop across to my blog here.

I have to admit that I had this image stamped up and partially coloured for a while now, but just couldn't decide what I wanted to do with it. I originally thought I'd make a shaker card, but then I thought there wouldn't actually be very much 'shaker' visible behind my snow family, so I didn't.

I used some papers from the Winter Wishes pad and used some of the matching enamel dots as centres for my snowflakes.
I do have to say that in the light the geometric snowflakes all matched my colouring, but as by the time I'm home from work it's really dark here, it doesn't look that way on the photograph, my lovely violet snowflakes look more burgundy!

The little sentiment is from the Penguin Adventure clear stamp set, I thought it was perfect for this little group.

That's all from me today but you can find more inspiration here every day in the run up to Christmas!

Day 7 Countdown to Christmas - Cool Ride

Hello!  It's my turn today to share a project for the Whimsy Stamps Countdown to Christmas.

I adored Crissy Armstrong's carousel horses when they were released in rubber a few years back, so was tickled pink to see this one was available in digi format.

Along with this fabulous Cool Ride digi, I have used the Doodled Doily Die and Winter Wishes paper pad.  I finished the card off with some glittered leaves, a chipboard sentiment which I heat embossed for extra bling and flowers.

Day 6 of the Whimsy Stamps Countdown to Christmas

Hello Whimsy Friends and welcome to Day 6 of the Whimsy Stamps Countdown to Christmas.

It's Iris here today. December 6th / Saint Nicholas Day is a special day in Germany (and other European countries of course) where I'm from originally. We celebrate this day in remembrance of  historical Saint Nicholas also called Nicolas of Myra or Bishop of Myra and his legendary habit of secret gift-giving.

Usually kids will get boots filled with candy, fruit, nuts and small gifts. We always celebrated in the evening of the 6th when I was a child but some already had their boots filled in the night from the 5th to the 6th depending on which part from Germany you are from.

This is why I picked Santa's Glee today for my card. I thought it's the perfect image for today :-) He is available in the Whimsy store as digital stamp from the Crissy Armstrong collection.

I also used two dies from the Whimsy Shapeology collection: Merry - large word die and  Hand Stitched Borders. I kept my card simple to have the focus on the image. Only three small dots from the Christmas Cheer Enamel Dots and a red sequin embellish my card.

Here is a list of Copic colors I've used:

Santas Cloth
Red: R22, R24, R46, R59
White: C5, C3, B41, C1, C00
Shoes and Belt: C10, C8, C6, C4 B41

Santas Face and Hair:
Skin: E000, E00, E11, R02
Hair: W6, W4, W2, W0

Other
Santas List: E50, E53 T2
Pencil: E57, E50
Outline: B000, B00
Thanks for stopping buy today and make sure you come back tomorrow for more inspiration.

Crafty hugs,

Iris

Day 2 of Whimsy Countdown to Christmas

Hello, welcome to day two of Whimsy's countdown to Christmas. The design teams will be featuring a new project every day. I know you will find lots of inspiration!

I made a card featuring Whimsy's beautiful papers and the geometric snowflake die.
I started by making a panel using two of the papers found in the Winter Wishes paper pad.  I cut a geometric snowflake and adhered most of it onto the panel.  I covered it with sparkle using a Spectrum Noir clear sparkle marker for some shine.  I cut Christmas large word die twice, once from brushed silver cardstock and layered them together.  I stamped a sentiment companion on a vellum Sentiment Banner, and then adhered my sentiment pieces on the snowflake panel.  I adhered the panel on a white card base, and glued on some sequins last.

Thanks for stopping by!
